STATEMENT

My work reflects on human behaviors as the source, structure, and driving force transforming societies and their culture in all stages of development. That’s why on my trips worldwide, I’m attentive and approach carefully to learn from different cultures and social behaviors. My works’ visual results also reflect Europe and America’s artistic languages while establishing a dynamic dialog with my immediate environment from a narrative perspective. There is always a story behind my paintings, usually connected to elements of nature produced from geometric spatial structures that are strongly influenced by the earthy roots in the verdant, leafy tropics, a universe essentially dynamic and rhythmic, arranged with trimmings, circumferences, and cubes saturated by festive throbbing color, and is a moving tribute to nature and exuberance of the tropics. I’m also committed to expressing the power of positive thought through color and various combinations of materials. My artwork’s body celebrates Latin America’s raw and natural honesty and beauty.
